ad free

I don't know about you, but I'm getting just a little tired of all the advertising and corporate sponsorship just about everywhere you turn. Most of the time I tend to tune it out, but sometimes I really could do without it.

I thought it might be just a little refreshing to create a space on the web where there were no ads or flashing banners.

So, unless someone comes along with an offer too good to turn down, diy investor (uk) blog will be ad free.

  1. So right and so refreshing to see. From what I've read the pitiful amounts raised from website advertising - apart from the outliers who started early - it's hardly worth it. I'm more likely to return to non-ad sites and feel that some of my favourite bloggers have ruined their sites with intrusive advertising!

  2. I can only agree with Jim. I've tried ads on my site a few times and they generate very little money unless you have mega-traffic, which most small and specialist sites don't. Perhaps a better alternative is the "buy me a coffee/beer" donation button. It's aesthetically less intrusive, but a little cheeky.
